A free tracker for your self-employed clients
If you’re a bookkeeper or tax preparer with Canadian freelancers and sole proprietors on your books, you can download our tracker free and hand it to them. It normally sells for $19 CAD. No sign-up and no email address needed.
For professionals sharing with clients. If you’re self-employed yourself, the tracker is $19 CAD here.

Download the tracker
One Excel file (.xlsx, about 85 KB). It also opens in Google Sheets: upload it to Drive, then Open with > Google Sheets.
Download free (.xlsx)Share it with your own clients however you like: email, your client portal, a USB key. Please don’t resell it or repost the file publicly.
Print the client handout
One page: the key dates for the 2026 tax year and what to keep track of. It has a blank line for your firm’s name.
Open the handoutPrint it, or choose “Save as PDF” in your browser’s print dialog.
What your client gets
- SettingsProvince dropdown with the 2026 GST/HST rates (5% GST; HST 13% ON, 14% NS, 15% NB, NL and PE), and a “registered for GST/HST?” switch.
- Income logDate, client, amount and GST/HST charged, with a rate override per row.
- Expenses by T2125 lineThe CRA’s T2125 expense lines, a business-use % column, and meals at 50%.
- SummaryMonthly totals plus a total for each T2125 line, and GST/HST collected versus paid.
What it doesn’t do
It doesn’t track PST or QST, it doesn’t do Quick Method GST/HST, and it doesn’t calculate capital cost allowance (CCA). It’s an organizing tool, not tax software, and it doesn’t file anything.
Free guides you can point clients to
The small print, in plain words
Free means free: no account, no email address, and nothing to sell to your clients. Friday Digital isn’t affiliated with the CRA, and the tracker and guides aren’t tax advice.
